In 1958, Leo became the sole owner and operator, and renamed the firm to Greiber Heating & Sheet Metal. By this time, Leo was installing both fuel and heating equipment, as well as active in installing air conditioning in new and older homes. Sheet metal was custom cut in the shop in Waunakee and directly on the job.
By 1975, after graduation from Madison Area Technical College, Leo's son, Marv, joined him as an active member of the firm. In 1984, the firm was incorporated. Whether in 1936 or 2014, our business is committed to providing reliable, quality service to all of our customers.
Our Team Today
We are family-owned, and have 88 years and 4 generations of experience in the installation and maintenance of residential heating and cooling systems.
Started in 1936 by Art Greiber to supplement his farm income, his major work involved cleaning and minor repair of coal furnaces.
In addition to Marv and Karen, their son, Devon, has joined the business to carry on the tradition and company values of high quality workmanship and dedication to customers started by Marv's Grandfather years ago.
After serving in the Army during World War II, Leo Greiber, Art's son, attended and graduated from Madison Vocational and Sheet Metal School, and joined his father in business. The firm name changed to Art Greiber & Son.
During this time, as the residential heating industry changed from coal to gas, the business was quick to keep up with advancement to service their clients.
